Pack

The Cub Scouts Motto is “Do Your Best”.  The age for Cub Scouts is from 7 to 11.  Cub Scouts are organised into small groups called Sixes and there are 6 cubs in tem.  The sixes in what we call a Pack has a young leader amongst its cubs called Sixer.  The structure of the Pack and the nomenclature used is based on “The Jungle Book” by Rudyard Kipling.

During Pack meetings we get opportunities to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, camping, hiking and cooking on open fires.  They can learn new responsibility as this will allow us to enjoy more things, like camping for a longer duration and lead activities for others.

Nature is what Cub Scouting is all about.  There is so much to explore in nature.  Cubs get to trips and days out like hiking, exploring and many more.  The Cub Scout adventure is full of fun and exploration – they are all about finding out about new things as well as discovering new ways of having fun.  Learning the basic needs of life by learning by doing and a creative mind.

Adult leaders of the Cub pack takes the names of The Jungle Book 's main characters like the leader of the Pack is called Akela, Baloo and Bagheera.
