Rovers Scouts are 18 to 26 year old scouts who are in a network full of exciting opportunities. Being a Rover Crew member open doors to new friendships, adventure and unforgettable experiences while at the same time developing leadership and organisational skills.
The age range for Rover Scouts creates a team from different walk of life, with some still in education, married or in a stable profession. Participating in events with such a diverse team exposes each individual to new skills and experiences.
The rover programme is named ‘My Journey’ based on our founder’s phrase in Rovering to Success: ‘Never sit down with a tear or a frown but paddle your own canoe’. The symbolic canoe journey passes through varies stages to widen the interest and knowledge of Rovers. The programme provides fun, friendship, variety and a personal choice throughout the programme.
The Zurrieq Rover Crew has 16 members of which most are participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award or the ‘my Journey’ Programme.
